COLONIAL COURT HOUSE & COURTYARD, 157 West Market Street, is a 1976 replica of the original court houde built in 1754.  The original building served as the headquarters of the Continental Congress during York's 9 month stint as capitol of the United States from September 1777 - June 1778.  The lower room is set up to represent what the building would have looked like during this period andis not available for rentals.  The upper room is open space, ideal for a small meeting or a reception.  The large, open courtyard surrounding the building and second floor of the Colonial Court House is available for special occasions.
